Thanks
for your interest:
As
in years gone by I intend to organize and guide approximately
10 tours for the next year . Each tour is, of course, designed
to suit the needs of each group. Most tours tend to do a circle
of Scotland, touring Edinburgh, Fife, Highland Perthshire, Inverness
and Loch Ness, Wester Ross, The Isle of Skye and Glencoe.
Tour
groups tend to be very diverse, some groups consist of 8 friends
or family members, others are made up from 8 folks who meet for
the first time on the tour. Singles are welcome, as are all age
groups.
Please
find my basic tour information below:
On
my small group tours of my homeland you will visit a destination
in the world that few countries can match for history, romance,
and incredible scenery. But it's also country whose people will
capture your heart.
On
my custom-designed tours you will see the Real Scotland and will
meet Real Scottish people, for each personalized tour is paced
for discovery and understanding, not just notching typical tourist
sites.
On
my tours your pace through Scotland will be leisurely with civilized
starts each day and plenty of time to explore the local community
after dinner each night. Nor will you have to pack and unpack
each day as we
normally stay in two base locations from which we can easily visit
all key sites on the itinerary, and return
home to every night.
On
my tours you will experience the best of my Scotland, not just
drive through it. On my tours you will see all the hidden gems
that are only known from being born and raised in beautiful Scotland.
Whatever
your reason for wishing to visit Scotland, I will help you create
an itinerary to fit your needs. Some people join my small group
tours simply because they just want to get away with family or
friends. Others have
a very specific reason for wishing to visit my homeland. Perhaps
they want to golf in Scotland, or visit historic castles or beautiful
gardens,
or discover their ancestral connections to Scotland. In fact,
searching for ancestral and family connections and sites is one
of the main
reasons why folks join my small group tours. To walk the in the
footsteps of your ancestors is an unforgettable experience, and
I can help you in your quest. Actually,
there's a thousand reasons to visit Scotland. That's why each
of my tours is unique !
And
though these custom-designed tours are not cheap, mainly due to
the exchange rate of the dollar against the pound, they cost only
a little more than a large fifty-two person coach tour - but provide
much more personal
service - and much, much, more insight into Scotland.

Accommodations:
I choose hotels, not only for the quality of their rooms and service,
but also for their location and friendliness.
Here are 4 hotels that I have visited often during the past 10
years of touring in Scotland.
The
Craws Nest Hotel
The Craws Nest is located in Anstruther in the Kingdom of Fife.
Anstruther is where I was raised in Scotland, and thus I have
a special fondness for this picturesque village in the East Neuk
of Fife. Anstruther is just 9 miles south of St Andrews and is
ideal for touring and visiting St Andrews, Falkland Palace, Kellie
Castle, Edinburgh etc;

The
Dunalastair Hotel
The Dunalastair is located in Kinloch Rannoch in Highland Perthshire.
Almost in the exact centre of Scotland, Kinloch Rannoch is an
ideal location for touring and visiting Loch Rannoch, Rannoch
Moor, Aberfeldy, Loch Tummel, Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Killiecrankie,
Kenmore etc;
